Public law children proceedings

Care and supervision proceedings brought under the Children Act 1989, where parents and family members need representation and clear guidance.

Private children matters

Family proceedings support

Preparation of court bundles, draft orders, letters of instruction and case records across family matters.

If you are not sure which of these applies to your situation, a short phone call with the family team will tell you.

Types of work Aurelie handles

  • Drafting court orders, briefs to counsel and letters of instruction.
  • Preparing and indexing court bundles ahead of hearings.
  • Attending hearings with counsel and taking detailed notes.
  • Liaising with clients, counsel and external professionals to coordinate hearing preparation.
  • Legal research on children law using Westlaw and Practical Law.
  • Maintaining case records and tracking court deadlines and filing dates.
  • Handling confidential and sensitive documents, including review and redaction work.

How Aurelie helps clients

Children proceedings run to strict court timetables, and a case can turn on whether the right document reaches the court in the right form at the right time. Aurelie keeps that side of a case in order, so that deadlines are met and the file is accurate.

She has worked in an environment where competing deadlines and a high volume of matters were the norm, and she is used to prioritising without losing accuracy. She handles sensitive material carefully, which matters in cases involving children and families.
