Overview

Immigration help, from your first application to settlement

Wimbledon Solicitors is an SRA-regulated law firm based in South Wimbledon, with a second office in Tooting. Our immigration team advises individuals and families across London on UK visas, asylum and humanitarian protection, in-country applications, settlement (Indefinite Leave to Remain) and British citizenship.

Most private immigration work is offered on a fixed fee, agreed and confirmed in writing before we start, so you know the cost from the outset. For asylum and humanitarian protection, we hold a Legal Aid contract, which means many clients pay nothing for their legal help if they qualify. Whatever your situation, the first step is a free initial phone consultation.

So far, I've had a very positive experience working with shiza ayub over the phone on my divorce paperwork. She has been professional, kind, and has explained everything clearly. She's been responsive to my questions and has made the process much less stressful.

The process isn't finished yet, which is why I'm leaving 4 stars for now, but I'm grateful for all of her help so far and appreciate her support.

I have worked with Selva and the team at Wimbledon Solicitors for the last eight years. I was first introduced to them when I was completely stuck with my application, and they worked day and night to ensure everything was perfect and submitted on time.

Throughout the years, Selva has always been available, incredibly supportive, and willing to offer valuable advice and help whenever I needed it. I cannot recommend them highly enough for their dedication and professionalism.

I had a great experience with the staff at Wimbledon Solicitors as they were very welcoming and always eager to give any assistance as soon as I arrived at the reception. In particular, much appreciation goes to Selva who handled my case with utmost professionalism and integrity. She was a very empathetic person and always listened to me and advised me accordingly. I was very anxious at the time because there were general delays but she wasn't hesitant to send emails to the homeoffice and was always quick to give me an update. She always responded to my emails promptly and always returned my calls. I will forever be grateful to Wimbledon Solicitors.

Situations we help with every day

If your situation is not listed here, it does not mean we cannot help. Call us and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right firm for your matter.

Legal Aid

Seeking asylum? You may not have to pay

Our IAAS-accredited Senior Caseworkers can check whether your case is eligible, explain what happens next, and act for you through your claim and any appeal. Everything you tell us is treated in the strictest confidence, and we can speak with you in several languages. If you are not sure whether you qualify, call us and we will talk it through.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does an immigration solicitor cost?

For most private immigration work we charge a fixed fee, agreed and confirmed in writing before we begin, so there are no surprises. The fee depends on the type of application. For asylum and humanitarian protection, Legal Aid may cover the cost entirely if you qualify. Start with a free initial phone consultation and we will explain what your matter is likely to cost.

Yes, for asylum and humanitarian protection. We hold a Legal Aid contract, and our Senior Caseworkers can check your eligibility. Most private immigration applications, such as spouse visas and settlement, are not covered by Legal Aid and are handled on a fixed fee instead.

Yes. We regularly act on refusals, fresh applications and appeals. The sooner you contact us after a refusal the better, as appeal and challenge deadlines are often short.

Not necessarily. Many matters can be handled by phone, email and video, though you are always welcome at our South Wimbledon or Tooting office if you would prefer to meet in person.

Yes. Our team advises clients in several languages including Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, and Tamil, alongside English. If you’d feel more comfortable discussing your matter in another language, ask us when you get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.

In most cases, yes. A great deal of immigration and document work can be handled remotely, by phone, email, and video, so you don’t need to live near our offices to instruct us. Many of our clients are based elsewhere in the UK or abroad.

The easiest way is to request a callback or call us directly on 020 8543 3302. Tell us briefly what’s happening, and we’ll arrange a free initial phone consultation with the right member of our team.
